One Meralco Foundation set to mobilize relief efforts in disaster-stricken areas
The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has restored electricity to nearly all customers that experienced service interruptions due to the enhanced southwest monsoon (Habagat), which affected the distributor’s franchise area.
Following round-the-clock work of its crews and personnel, the number of remaining affected customers have gone down to the last 2,800 —representing less than 1% of Meralco’s total customer base. Over 1,000 of these remaining outages are in flooded areas and most of the remaining affected customers are in parts of Metro Manila, Cavite, and Bulacan.
“Our crews and personnel con:nue to work tirelessly complete power restoration to the remaining customers. We thank our customers for their patience and their help in reporting outages in their areas, which allowed us to expedite restoration efforts,” Meralco Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications Joe R. Zaldarriaga said.

Meanwhile, Meralco’s corporate social responsibility arm One Meralco Foundation has begun preparing relief packs for distribution to families affected by the heavy rains and floods. In the coming days, the Foundation — along with Meralco employee-volunteers — will reach out to disaster-stricken individuals and families to provide assistance.
To report power outages and other concerns, customers may reach Meralco through its official social media pages on Facebook (www.facebook.com/meralco) and X (@meralco). They may also text their concerns to 0920-9716211 and 0917-5516211 or contact the Meralco Hotline at 16211.#
