We spend a third of our lives sleeping and recharging. A third is also spent in maintenance, that is cleaning our bodies and surroundings (bathing, brushing the teeth, cutting the nails, cleaning the ears, going to the barber, to the doctor, painting the garage, checking the car, pulling out weeds, renewing licenses, updating our biodata, phonebooks, facebook status, and fixing our gadgets and thingamajigs. The remaining third is the portion we could play around with – and truly claim our own. For ladies, it’s less than a third, on account of the time they spend in the parlor sprucing up. /mdm
