A web post identified “three white men in their 70s clinging to power to avoid prison” as the cause of all the world’s troubles. Clearly a case of oversimplification. But we know who they are.

The brazen invasion of Ukraine, the genocide in Gaza, the mass extermination of Palestinians, the mad push to gobble up Greenland and the sinister “Board of Peace” supplanting the UN Security Council – tell us that the international rules-based order is fractured, if not dead.

Undercut and diminished by imperial bullies, institutions like the UN and ICJ struggle to provide global stability and keep the peace. /mdm
