Intro:
The day after a supertyphoon that never arrived, a man walks to the park with his phone, hoping to film the leaves in their after-storm agitation.
By Vincent R. Pozon
After my walk, I sat
in the park to sweat it out,
and thought to take
a video of the leaves;
surely there would be
a good rustling,
as it was the day after that
typhoon that threatened so.
Instead, nothing.
Not a leaf moved. It was as though
the world had paused,
turned toward me,
held its breath for a picture.
