Difficult to admit, friends my age and thereabouts, but it is true: the young have it more difficult. We lived in a slower, less demanding world. They’re navigating a faster, information-saturated world with sharper minds and parallel thinking.
Short attention span? They grew up on video games ("twitch speed"), music videos (more than 100 images a minute). They process vast amounts of information at high speeds, adapt to constant connectivity, and juggle an array of media—all within the same 24-hour day we had. They have to deal with worse corruption and pollution — the mess we left them. /Vincent R. Pozon
