Today's Exactly100: Inauthentic

The Vice President’s camp released a tape recorded message in response to an interview where the First Lady expressed her frustration over the former’s presence in anti-administration rallies.

The intent of the taped response was to make the Vice President sound calm and dignified, a contrast to the First Lady’s demeanor. 

But knowing her famous temper, the Vice President came off as inauthentic.  

Her script also attempted a pivot by asking the public to focus on issues. The pivot did not connect. It only reminded the public of her father’s failure to resolve these issues during his term as president. /Joey Salgado
